Changing The World Starts With One Single Step

With everything going on, it’s a lot to take in. And now, more than ever, we need each other; when it comes to making our communities and world a better place, we need each other for truth, support, helping without expectations...which in return can brighten up your day and our neighborhoods!!

We’ve witnessed our willingness as people to step up in the face of what we are all experiencing with COVID-19. All awe-inspiring moments. Moments that proved that there is still a ‘human spirit.’

We often speak of compassion. All of our lives have been changed last year, uniting each other to stand up for our neighbors, with courage, empathy, and kindness, which are all very much still indisputably important right now.

We are confident that every human being has the potential and opportunity to make a difference.

With this in mind, we want to ask you to join forces with us in helping us help our neighbors from attacks of any kind, hunger, evictions, lost entrepreneurship, or less known entrepreneurship.

Over the course of 2021, this will be our guiding principle.

We ask you to share:

  • If you’re hiring, or if you know of open roles in our communities that are worthy for our neighbors. Please share job openings with empathy in mind.

  • Any pro-bono lawyers willing to take on predatory landlords.

  • Any resources for free meals, and other necessities for anyone who does not qualify otherwise for NJ state programs.

  • Any resources for our immigrant neighbors.

  • Any other resources that can help us help each other.

We will be sharing information and resources to help all of us navigate the uncertainty: from publishing and posting accurate information on our socials, to working with organisations that can support our communities to create a better society. One that normalizes the fact that it’s OK to help each other without expectations, and that we all matter.

In addition, we will focus on the inspiring stories that you care to share with us, whether in print or photography, showcasing how we can continue to connect in ways big and small to lift all of us up. To contribute, please read our submission guidline first.

We are all in this together, and as a ‘local and global community ‘we can support each other through this process – and build a neighborhood that feels home for every one of us.

We look forward to continuing to partner up with more neighbors, organizations and reading more about your experiences and your communities over the days and months to come….
